She became interested in cardiology while studying at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, VFU Brno, where she graduated in 2006. She then worked for several years in general practice in the UK and at a referral clinic in Prague. In 2011, she started postgraduate studies in cardiology at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh, which she successfully graduated in 2014 with the degree of CertAVP(VC). She spent three years working under the guidance of top UK and European cardiologists in the Cardiology Department of the Small Animal Teaching Hospital at the University of Liverpool. Since 2015 she has held 'Advanced Practitioner Status in Veterinary Cardiology' under the auspices of The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
In 2021, after 15 years of working and studying in the UK, she moved back to the Czech Republic where she set up her own cardiology practice and has been a member of the MEDICANIMA medical team since 2024.
